Ellie’s Diner
Ellie’s is right on Mayrhofen’s busy high street, just a few steps from the Penkenbahn lift. It’s a brilliant spot to grab a bite, whether fuelling up before a ski day or winding down after exploring the mountains.
The menu covers all bases — think big, juicy burgers, loaded fries, and crispy chicken. But there are lighter options, like fresh salads and poke bowls that still pack plenty of flavour. It’s a place where everyone can find something they like.
The diner has a relaxed, welcoming vibe with a cool outdoor terrace. On a sunny day, it’s one of the best places in town to sit back, eat, and watch the world go by. If you’re in a rush, you can also order online and grab your food to go.
Drinks-wise, there’s plenty to choose from. Guinness on tap is always a winner, and the bar offers a solid range of beers, soft drinks, and spirits. In the summer, an Aperol Spritz on the terrace is a great way to kick off the evening. Or, if you’re stopping by in the morning, a strong coffee will do the job.
Why We Love It
Owners Clemens and Theresa run the place with real heart. They’re always around with a smile, and their team are friendly, helpful, and quick to make you feel at home.
The food is reliably great. The burgers are juicy and full of flavour, while the fries are crispy and just the right level of indulgent. But what’s nice is that if you’re not in the mood for something heavy, there are healthy options that don’t feel like an afterthought.
We especially love the terrace in the warmer months — perfect for relaxing with a drink, meeting friends, or just enjoying a peaceful moment in the middle of town.
Whether you’re eating in, grabbing a takeaway, or stopping for a quick drink, Ellie’s is a local favourite for good reason.
